Is there any point in buying expensive mascara?

I was in Boot's the other day and was wondering. I'm a low-maintenance woman, so usually buy the cheapest, but am I missing something?

Boots have a nice Lancome gift set at the moment, one full size and three smaller mascaras for £23/ £24
I normally buy Chanel, yes it's pricey but I tried dozens of cheaper mascaras and wasted so much money because none of them were quite right, for me it's worth every penny.

Better than sex mascara is fabulous but I do think that max factor 2000 calorie is just as good. Have both on the go at the moment and can't see the difference between them.... (except the price and the fact that I can't buy max factor in the USA Hmm)

I don't get the love for Max Factor.
For me it's meh.
Chanel Le Volume is very good.

Anyone else find that mascara just sort of stops working after a while? I tend to switch around between high end (hypnose) and mid range (Bourjois/Maybelline) to get the same efffect. Maybe I just get used to it.

I agree with Pistachio, the most important is to change often. The good ones for me are max factor, maybelline and the best is Cover Girl Lashblast.

I buy cheap mascara and really like t . It's boots natural collection lash length . It's great for everyday . I use max factor calorie 2000 for evenings out which is a bit more dramatic which I love .
