Gloves and watches

Is there any secret to wearing both, and having them not get in the way of each other, leaving you with an uncomfortable wrist and a sleeve full of bunched up fabric and perhaps a watch half way up your forearm?
Either I should have worked this out a long time ago, or lots of other people are putting up with it too. Except all the men who never wear gloves.

Is it a really big watch? I've never had this problem

Currently, it's a Fitbit. But it's nothing new, this has bothered me since I was a kid. It is worse with fatter watches, but I find the only way not to have it is not to wear a watch. I do wear a lot of layers in winter, but that's not very unusual.

Thanks for replying.

Seems like it is just me after all!
