Maternity sizing

Hi! I'm starting to have to use hair bobbles to fasten my jeans, so I'm gonna take the plunge into maternity wear. Do I buy my normal size or do I go a couple of sizes up? So do I buy size 8 maternity or go for a 10/12? It's my first baby (bet you hadn't guessed) so I have no idea! Thanks so much, and sorry for a question that probably gets asked a lot!

If you're buying jeans from H&M then definitely size up, I'm usually an 8 and their size 12 were a bit of a squeeze! I found mothercare to be quite generous, so got my normal size, same with Topshop. Try and find jeans with a bit of stretch to them, so they last throughout the pregnancy. And I suggest the over bump style, super warm now and I've found them a lot more comfy.
