Mascara for incredibly sensitive eyes?

My eyelids seem to be very sensitive and quite puffy and I think it's due to make up. I'm trying to find some suitable mascara that is very gentle but won't flake off or smudge easily, if anyone has any suggestions?

Have you tried getting your lashes dyed? Mascara always irritates me, but the dye doesn't and looks great for a few weeks.

I've never tried it just because my eyes are so sensitive but I might ask for a patch test from the salon.
My eyelid issues started after an awful allergic reaction to an eyebrow wax a few months ago. They are very temperamental now even when I don't use anything for days on end.

I have sensitive eyes and I use Clinique Naturally Glossy mascara, it doesn't irritate and it stays put all day.

Clinique do a tubing mascara which has been a revelation. (I have dry eyes). It's gentle, stays put all day and washes off with warm water.

L'oreal beauty tubes. I wear contact lenses and have allergies but this tubing one works for me (and means no make-up remover to irritate either)

Thanks Cox. I also wear contacts but have been limiting their use recently.
Starting to wonder if I've developed an allergy to the dog or Bold washing powder!

I have this exact problem and can only wear tubing mascara. Clinique lash power (££ though) or L'Oréal beauty tubes. Think I prefer L'Oréal tbh

OP have you tried The Body Shop aloe Vera eye cream? It's got live bio cultures in it so it will build up the skins natural resilience. When I had puffy flaky really tender eyes it really helped. I bought the whole aloe range and I didn't regret it.

Also buy non bio washing stuff.

I had this over the summer and couldn't wear any make up! Something unheard of since I was 12! I ended up using Vaseline on my eyelids and this helped barrier against the mascara

I actually went to the doctors and felt fobbed off but she did say to make a mild solution of baby shampoo and water and gently wash/wipe them with (on cotton wool). But if you do this please google the ratio as I don't want to be bollocked if it goes tits up!

Thanks Buster I will give TBS eye cream a go and try googling the baby shampoo wash. I was also considering going to the doctor!

I hate looking all puffy eyed with no make up on! I just feel like I'm looking awful at the minute. Might up my water intake and invest in some multi vits. Already glugging the spa tone!

Mine turnt out to be a chronic condition and with MANY symptoms but I'm sure that isn't the case with you OP if it started after the eyebrow was scenario!
