How would you wear this skirt?

I've bought this skirt to wear on Christmas Day but not sure what to wear it with? I don't like it with that polo neck in that picture and would probably want to wear thick dark tights as it's freezing where I am. Don't normally do skirts but I saw it and had to have it, sick of dresses that I end up wearing once.

It's lovely! I would wear it with a long sleeve bardot top.

I like it with the polo neck! I'd wear a slightly cropped fine-knit black jumper, so it sat just on the skirt's waistband. I think you need a tucked in or slightly cropped top with that shape, or you run the risk of looking like a triangle.

What is it you don't like about the polo neck it's styled with?

A red Bardot top would be nice and xmassy I think.

I've tried that skirt on too and I'm tracking it. If I get it, I'll wear with a cropped, fitted, round neck cashmere cardi, buttoned up. I have a couple of Boden ones, several years old but will work a treat.
