Anyone not wearing a sparkly dress this Xmas party season?

I'd like to get some different party wear that is not:
black
stretch lace
sequinned
sleeveless.
made of that scratchy sparkly material

What will you be wearing?

Ophelia where is your dress from? Its beautiful!

OpheIiaBaIIs · 15/11/2016 18:58

Thanks hells - unbelievably, I found it at Tesco! I had a £100 dress budget and knew exactly the sort of thing I was after but couldn't find it anywhere. Then a few weeks ago I was in Tesco and bang, there it was! And only £25 (I bought the shoes and stockings to go with it too and had change from my £100 Grin). When I was in at the weekend it was reduced to £11 so if you've a large store near you it might be worth a look!

iklboo that's seriously beautiful!

Thank you Ophelia - was just coming to say that about yours. Amazon £20 (serious bargain) and lots of different colours.

Mine is boring black. I had a gold dress last year, but didn't get much wear it of it, as it just screams 'Christmas'. I can wear my LBD a lot (thought it's quite tight so possibly not much after Boxing Day).
I do love that dress from Tesco linked up thread though.

I'm only 5"1 so shortness shouldn't be a problem musha

APlaceOnTheCouch · 15/11/2016 20:00

I'm liking these dresses from Coast but (1) they are sparkly so not appropriate for this thread and (2) seem to be that odd length which ends up looking trallapy -as my DM would say--

Damn you all to hell. I was really happy (some might even say smug) about my 20 year velvet trousers but now you've got me browsing and I want these Or these

A lot of velvet stuff isn't to my taste as I'm not keen on it prettied up. I like it quite minimalist - I think it's luxurious enough on its own.
