My charcoal grey F&F polo neck is seven years old and, with the exception of vintage Brora, some Pure from over a decade ago and a couple of inherited Scottish cashmere cardigan sets that no longer have labels, its one of the best-wearing jerseys I own.

Beats the White Company into a cocked hat for pilling.

Someone in the know said the goats went a bit ropey a few years ago and there was a Global Shit Bobbly Cashmere Crisis.

But I think they're all better now.

I bought a F&F cashmere v neck years ago and it was fab. Much better than one from M&S i bought 2 years ago at a much higher price. I still have the F&F one but the M&S one went to charity some time ago

Well initially i wasnt sure about the pink as its a bit peachy. Was hoping for a clean pink iykwim. As for quality and fit, its lovely.

I think it is definetly a bit of a bargain!

It's a bit too baggy for me, but OK enough to not be worth the hassle of returning it. Perhaps I should have sized down, but there's always the norks issue.

daisydalrymple · 17/11/2016 22:03

It's £45 now?? Was there a sale when you posted? (Or is there someone working in Tesco PR who's on MN, has noticed this thread and put the price up to take advantage of the stampede???)

AllTheShoes · 17/11/2016 22:19

It was £36 when I bought it a few days ago.

daisydalrymple · 17/11/2016 22:24

Wondering whether to use up my clubcard vouchers on it, but might watch it a few days then, see if it goes down. Sizing wise I'm a 10-12 looking at me, but eg have to get 8 in Next in tops as their sizing is so way out. Hoping a 10 would be about right or would you say they're particularly baggy?

neveradullmoment99 · 17/11/2016 22:35

Yeh, annoyingly they have put the price up! I wanted it loose so am quite happy with it. Actually would have liked it even baggier.

Or is there someone working in Tesco PR who's on MN, has noticed this thread and put the price up to take advantage of the stampede??? My thoughts exactly.

It's a bargin even for the extra tenner as you get a lot of jumper for the money. I do think it's a bit shapeless especially as it's long.
I might see if I can buy the largest size they stock as a oversized sweater. They won't exchange online deliveries apparently....odd.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/11/2016 22:01

I think oversized would look great. It is generous but i agree it is a bit shapeless and oversized would give it a slouchy boyfriend feel. Might purchase one in a different colour and get a couple of sizes bigger!!!

OP posts:
AllTheShoes · 19/11/2016 11:02

Yes, shapeless is the problem. I can't do boyfriend, I go straight from fitted to 'bought to grow in to', sometimes with a small pause at matronly in between.

missfliss · 19/11/2016 18:16

Just to say thanks for the tip. I bought a grey V neck one today - I sized up to a 14 so I could have a loose fit.
It's fab. Lovely deep V, deep cuffs etc. really chuffed.
