Very warm padded coat needed - no down/feathers..

I love padded coats in winter but one of the family has developed a down or feather allergy and can't bear to be near me!
Can anyone think of options that are synthetic and very warm?

I have a lovely warm padded one from Monterey at had lots of choice and lots of offers on at the moment. It's is really warm, I love it!

I have a seasalt hellweather which is pretty warm

Seasalt don't use down, are really warm and are waterproof, I love mine

Landsend do primaloft. Worth a look.

Are the seasalt coats very warm? One review says it's more suited to Autumn and I've been enveloped in down and feather so am worried that it might be much cooler than I've been wearing.

There's a company called Save the Duck that sell warm ones - not sure if they sell in the Uk though.

I have a thermoball jacket from Northface - it's as warm as down but much thinner.

I've got a Rab nebula jacket, which has synthetic insulation. It's really warm without being heavy, slightly longer at the back so covers bottom and hips nicely. Dries really quickly and is machine washable. Pricey but worth every penny.

I have the seasalt Janelle - it's been warm enough for me in London (and i spend a lot of time standing around in freezing playgrounds) but if you are eg in Scotland you might need something more.
