First time on style and beauty, I'm quite excited. I definitely haven't spent hours lurking on the threads....

I'm a bit crap with fashion, will take a passionate interest for a short while and then get distracted and look like a rubbish tip the rest of the time.

I can basically wear what I want to work, and I always opt for comfortable.
I'm a Nanny looking after a baby so I wear thick leggings everyday and a long shirt. I have chunky curvy legs, so the trainers and leggings look does not do me any favours. I much prefer to wear boots.

I have now worn my trusty Clarks boots to death, and you can actually see my feet through the sides.

I really need to some sturdy, flat boots - preferably not black - that I can get on and off easily and are waterproof.

I actually started looking at Hunters short wellies (the long ones don't fit round my calves Blush) but have read mixed reviews on their quality.

They don't have to be wellies, but I do like the Hunter bright red ones!

Any advice on boots greatly appreciated, feel free to throw ideas about comfortable alternatives to leggings too! Grin

Bumping for you OP in the hope someone comes along with some good suggestions for you. I live in my Ash Jalouse boots which have a heel - they dip at the front which has the effect of making your legs look longer and skinnier when worn with skinny jeans - so are not actually what you're looking for. I know a few people who swear by their Doc Martens but I'm not sure how easy they would be to put on in a hurry.

I have just bought these which you might like. They zip up the side so easy to get on and off, are waterproof and have a comfy sole plus I love how they look.
