Please help me find some warm, everyday winter boots

I need a replacement pair as my much loved ones have given up the ghost...
Ideally brown leather, knee high, waterproof and slim fitting with grippy soles. Lined would be nice but not essential... I'd prefer zip up so I can fit them over skinny jeans/warm socks etc.
Having spent hours in town and online I cant find anything which fits the bill....
Any suggestions/recommendations?
Many thanks

Clarks has some GTX (goretex lined) waterproof knee high boots. They look nice on the website and BOOTS16 gives you 20% off.

www.clarks.co.uk/p/26119483 Can't justify buying them for me at the moment - but I'm tempted.

JustCallMeKate · 09/11/2016 17:26

Dubarry do nice brown knee length boots with thick soles and are waterproof.

Littlelondoner · 10/11/2016 07:04

I got a nice pair from crew of all places.

Sound exactly what looking for so worth look.

I have fur-lined Fly Mes boots-they are toasty and warm! Slim fitting around the calves so I don't look like I'm wearing wellies, tooGrin.

Nearlyadoctor · 10/11/2016 07:37

DuBarry Clare boots, pricey but worth every penny imo!

trickyex · 10/11/2016 16:04

Thanks all, will check out the Dubarry boots, are they online only?
I quite like teh Clarks ones but they do look like they might be too wide in teh leg (I have v skinny calves).
Little do you have a link to your boots?
The FLy boots fit me well but they arent waterproof IME....

I bought Dr Marten Viola boots in TK Maxx today. They are wide in the foot but narrow in the calf (which is perfect for me). Not suitable for work but great for casual. They seem to still be available here: www.soletrader.co.uk/dr-martens-moll-viola-boots/violabrn/?gclid=COTrsvu-ntACFcEV0wod0OgNqg

trickyex · 10/11/2016 20:30

ooohhh I like those Mary, do they have grippy soles?

OP posts:
MaryMarigold · 10/11/2016 20:44

Yep, very grippy, proper DM sole.

trickyex · 10/11/2016 21:55

Have never had DMs but they are exactly what I was looking for.
But I cannot find them in my size online!
Argh.....

I've just bought a pair from North face. Mine were in the clearance bit, but they seemed to have plenty that would match your description.

SesameSparkle · 10/11/2016 23:56

Would timberland fit your spec?

Mrspig86 · 11/11/2016 00:03

Moda in Pelle do some lovely boots, and I found them slim fitting and really well made

trickyex · 11/11/2016 21:51

Thanks, will, check out North Face and Moda. The Timberlands are lovely, bit over budget perhaps....
