Websites to buy a wedding dress please

Hi all,

I am looking for websites to buy my wedding dress, I live in a remote location and travelling to shops is not really an option. I have looked at local ones and they are not to my taste.
I am looking for a simple dress with a straight skirt, ideally pleated, and "v" neck, and I will be adding a band of black guipure on the waist and wear black shoes. I want to spend no more than £850 as for around that price I can have it handmade.
But all I want to ask really is for websites to have a look ideally in the UK.
Thanks if you can help!

Love this site, I have not heard from anyone personally but they do have a good online following and have a buyers gallery there too! It's American although they do uk shipping.

I can't find wedding dresses on those sites I am quite rubbish! Only managed to see them in Asos and they are a bit cheap? didn't know you could spend that little on a wedding dress. Nothing wrong with spending little, but I am afraid I'll be ordering getting them on the post and had to return them, if I could try them in a shop I definitely would!

I'd just browse online at Pinterest, online wedding mags and real life brides to see if anything jumps out and see if it's available to try in your area or order online. Most things are online nowadays.
There are sites like sellmyweddingdress that have most brands, they're preloved but handy to browse through to get an idea of how they fit etc.
Look up the bridal boutiques you might potentially visit and see if they have a website or ring up, that way you have an idea if your journey would be wasted or not.

Pinterest is fabulous for wedding dresses, if definitely browse that for ideas.

If your just looking for a base to customise yourself, have you thought about a dressmaker to do it from scratch?

KateLivesInEngland · 08/11/2016 12:59

Ha, sorry just seen the last line of your original post, dressmakers might be your best bet at finding your exact spec.

Kione · 08/11/2016 13:11

The dressmakers quote was around £900, and she made a drawing of the dress which is very very simple! I am now thinking of a pleated skirt and I have looked online and seen all those other dresses, it is not ideas that I need so much as somewhere to look for what I like. If that makes sense.
I live on a Island and have already visited locals shops, I will not be visiting any other shops as it would involved proper travelling and I just can't do that.
I like looking at Pinterest but they don't always say where to purchase stuff do they?
