I got mine from Lidl a few years ago, cheap as chips but do the job!
Big thick things that are kind of welly sized but toasty warm ☺

cardoon · 08/11/2016 11:53

Have ordered these

and these

Any other good ones I should consider?

I got

These

last year and they are great! Can't remember where I got them from in the end but paid just under £100. I really like them in white, but chickened out and got the more practical black ones.

cardoon · 08/11/2016 12:30

They look good - the white are indeed things of beauty!

I just bought these, acceptable or horrendous? I would wear them only in really bad weather with probably skinny jeans, possibly opaques and short skirts/dresses. I'm not normally an Ugg person but have a long walk to and from work and am already starting to get fed up of cold, wet feet.

I have snow-jogger things as well.

Manumission · 08/11/2016 13:53

I was eyeing up some Merrells a couple of weeks back. Are they warm?

cardoon · 09/11/2016 07:45

For me they are not warm like UGG boots but they do stop your feet getting cold IYSWIM

If weather is cold and damp jeans are going to make you colder and damper. Wear some real outdoor trousers and waterproof non fashion boots, and change at work.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 09/11/2016 14:33

Which of these will stop me landing on my arse on an icy street?

Yes, I've done this numerous times and this winter is looking cold Blush

bear28 · 09/11/2016 23:59

If you are looking to keep the budget low I'd recommend these:

www.mandmdirect.com/01/details/KM376/Karrimor-Womens-Cordova-Weathertite-Snow-Boots-Brown

I got them for walking to the pub and back in the winter (priorities, I know!) and they are so comfortable! Highly recommend.

CallarMorvern · 10/11/2016 04:18

If the weather is that bad then I just wear walking boots (Aigle), waterproof pants and change when I get to wherever. I do also have leather ( not suede) very waterproof Emu boots, with chunky soles.
I really like those Uggs Judy, far nicer than ordinary Uggs.

cardoon · 10/11/2016 17:36

Those are nice crucru, have decided on these - worn them all day, very comfy and warm....no snow though!
