Can someone please talk to me about eye brows I'm so confused....

Eyebrows seem to be on trend these days but I can barely keep up with eyebrow treatments and what's suitable for my needs. I normally pluck myself but would like to have them professionally done without it costing a fortune or with me looking like a clown. My eyebrows are brown and and quite thick anyhow but obviously a bit over grown in places. So what would suit me best a wax, tint, thread or hd brows?? I don't want to spend ££££ so not interested in the tattoo treatment. Do tints look silly or too dark?? And what's the difference in effect between that and HD?? Too many choices 😩

I get mine tinted but only because some grow in white. If yours are dark and noticeable you may not need them doing. I get mine waxed too to give more shape to them. I don't have HD brows, are they not more slug like?

Threading works v well for me. I go to Bengali sisters locally (east London) £2 for brows, £10 full face. I don't like the idea of having hot wax on my face (or anywhere else come to that)

I have mine waxed, wish I'd done it years ago, it's fast easy and (for me!) painless. I've had them tinted a couple of times, but it didn't seem to last.

Waxing or threading will get them shaped nicely. Ask for a natural but shaped look keeping the thickness.
Tinting ensures all hairs are the same colour and defines.

How about HD who are they normally for??

HD for footballers wives. Don't go there.

I would get them threaded n tinted.. Good Eyebrows will frame your face and whenever i get mine done i just feel great. Ask them to keep it thick though

Mine are dark, just get them threaded, had them tinted once but it looked a bit odd if I wasn't wearing make up ( which is any day I don't work really) so I use rimmel " brow this way" if I want the more defined look for when I am wearing make up. It is like brown eye shadow with a little brush but it looks much more natural than pencil.

Just get them threaded. I pay £6 for mine every couple of weeks. You might need to grow them a bit first so they can shape them properly.

Brush them up then snip off the ends with nail scissors. That will thin them out.

I don't think they need 'thinning out' as suggest in the pp Dickory they're not really that thick. Try to grow the outer parts of them a bit more then have them threaded. You may not need them tinted once they're a bit thicker.

I don't think they could be called wild either.

Looking at your pic, they look great to start with and just need tidying up. You could have them gently shaped the maintain yourself from home.

I have a great pair of £20 Tweezerman pointy tweezers to keep mine in shape and I trim the top line as they get fairly long and look much neater.

I would avoid drawing on your eyebrows too obviously, the trend looks so ridiculous and a natural look is much nicer.

Very dark hair here so need to keep on top of them! Wax and tint with eyelash tint too for £10 locally, top up in between with eyelure brow dye around £7, many people I know draw them on to look huge but they look ridiculous on me, having a fringe also helps to hide them

I had mine threaded, but to be honest, I preferred the shape when they were waxed. I am not sure if I just got the wrong people threading each time, but they made them far too thin.

I do tint, but go for medium brown so it matches my hair as its dyed a bit darker than my natural colour. Its a little bit darker than I like for about 2 days then after the initial fade, I am good for about a month or so.

I hope the dark obvious eyebrow look passes soon. I don't like the look of it personally, but each to their own. Some just look like two caterpillars on the face. It takes the whole emphasis away from the eyes and face for me, all you seems to focus on are these two eyebrows staring at you....

They're a good shape naturally, but maybe over plucked so a bit short next to nose (if that makes sense?!).

Hey! Ive had HD and I'm no footballers wife. In fact I rarely wear makeup at all, so I specifically request that stage of the shaping is left out.

HD is good for helping you find your shape, it also lasts a really long time as they tweeze, wax and pluck. I'm a similar colouring to you and the tints feel very subtle, if i go again I might go darker.

The huge brows you see on the HD posters are not reality, unless that's your natural shape.

Ive had mixed reactions with just big standard threading, They often are threaded too thin for my liking, my skins been broken and once they looked completely different!

Forgot to add that after plucking and trimming, you can comb and shape your brows with clear brow gel - Collection 2000 does the job nicely and is cheap, no need to splash out. Or a try little brown brow gel if you feel you need more definition

I found the more I've had them threaded the better shape they've become. As they grow back they shape them better each time so now they're a good shape.

I've said shape too much.

I get mine threaded for £5 in a local Superdrug. I used to go to a local salon but they stopped walk ins and put the prices up so Superdrug it is.

In my (very full browed) experience, threading gives you the best shape. Tje more you keep it up, the better brows you have.

I don't think you need a tint, they look dark enough.

Loving the natural brows ladies. Thankyou for all your advice I will have a try at threading and see if I like the results but will make sure it's not too thing. I've heard benefit and super drug are good so may try there when I am next in town. Yes on closer inspection my brows are thinner near the ends. I've tried growing them out so that I can restart and have them shaped nicely.
