Slightly shimmery eyeshadow, please?

I've just about finished my much loved Chanel eyeshadow palette of 4 similar Shades. But I only really used one of them, a really lovely mink/taupe colour that has a subtle shimmer to it.

It seems a waste to buy the same palette to only use one of them.

Does anyone know of something that would fit the bill? I was wearing a dark brown matte shadow from Bobbi Brown, but have decided it's too harsh and not flattering for my 40s eyes.

I bought this after seeing it featured in the Sunday Times, it really is flattering on

I use Bobbi Brown Dusty mauve shadow stick.

I do like the shadow sticks.

I use Clinique Hazy, having previously used 2 Bobbi Brown shades which were discontinued. It's shimmery & suits me as I'm pale-skinned.

Much as I like a high end palette or quad, I am also a big fan of the Superdrug MUA twelve colour palettes for shimmery shadows. They are £4 each I think. I have Undressed and also Heaven and Earth. There is a bronze/taupe in the Undressed palette. You could have a look and see whether it's worth investing £4?

I swear by Laura Mercier Caviar pencils and John Lewis doing a good tester/starter kit for Christmas which I got two years ago and I've just finished the last one. Great On their own or you can sweep over a complimentary colour and, on me, it lasts ALL DAY. The Nyx chunky eyesticks/crayons are good to try out bolder colours and dead easy to apply with nice amount of shimmer - again, I've worn them on their own and with sweep of powder and they stay put.

I love the urban decay singles. And you can make up your own palette with a few shades you like then just replace them as they run out. There's always one or two in a premaid palette that I prefer.
