Matching necklace and earrings?

I have been gifted a beautiful necklace and matching earrings. Both, individually, beautiful. The necklace leans a little more towards statement and bold and the earrings are smaller, delicate, probably easier to wear in an everyday kind of sense. Together, though, they are clearly of the same design and clearly, well, match.

And now I'm thinking... is it a bit matchy-matchy to wear them together? I wonder if it might look a bit old fashioned.

Thoughts?

Without seeing it I can't really say but I think it sounds lovely and there is something endearing about a matching set.

Bit matchy, I'd wear separately. Matching sets are very twee.

Id wear seperately as well, i think it always looks cheap together
