Black eye brows - what to use to fill in?

If I use black they look like a couple of slugs.
I'm happy-ish with the shape but they just need a bit of definition.
What can I use?
Have tried the sleek in dark but its too brown. Also a suquu pen, but again too brown.
Any recommendation?

Rimmel do a coloured gel (like a mascara) that doesn't colour them in but does give them some definition. Similar to Benefit Gimme Brow but it's only about £4

I have very similar colouring and find the most flattering to be something with grey/ash tones. Bobbi Brown have a few products - the eyebrow pencil in Grey or eyeshadow in Slate are brilliant.

I use a powder, pencils just go on funny for me and look unnatural. I'm currently using Illamasqua eye brow cake in Thunder. I've got dark brown to black hair. I then use real techniques slanted eyebrow powder brush. I love it and will never go back to pencils. The owner lasts for ages. I've had mine for 3 years and it's barely dented.

*powder I mean!!!

Thanks - I'm have a look into those recommendations.
My budget is more rimmel than bobbi brown sadly.

L'Oréal do a eye brow powder.

Getmoving · 04/11/2016 15:17

I use dark brown eye shadow and prefer it to proper eyebrow pencils.

PawWavingCat · 04/11/2016 15:21

Ah, I was going to recommend a Laura Mercier pencil (they have a whole range of eyebrow colours) but they're quite pricey - last a looong time though.

Otherwise, have you thought about trying a dark brown shadow and using a slanted brow brush? I switch between a Stila brow powder or a pencil depending on my mood.

Have a look at NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Taupe. Boots have it in stock for about £7. It looks like a decent option.

Gosh also have something similar at Superdrug in grey brown for £5.49.

Alternatively, find a matte grey eyeshadow with an angled brush.

Excellent - I'll have a look at those - I've got some mineral eyeshadow too that I'll have a go at filling them out with.

I use Mac's Quarry eyeshadow with a brush. I went to the mac shop on a Kings Road 20 years ago .... and have use do it ever since. Very dark hair and it looks really natural.
