Can Winters wear Camel coloured clothes?

Is it a neutral that Winters can ever wear?

I am lusting after a coat which I think would go with everything and be a bit more ''grown up'' (it's only taken me 40 odd years to get there)!

I have winter colouring however and don't know whether camel is a big no-no.

Please can anyone advise? Thank you!

No, camel is a very warm
Colour and falls into the autumn and spring pallets, not winter which should be cool colours

Go and try it on and take some selfies. Then look honestly at them!

Winters might wear slightly warm grey or stone with good punchy contrasting accessories like red or black . Does it come in any other colours?

herecomesthsun · 03/11/2016 15:45

nope, not camel and generally not leopard

mimiasovitch · 03/11/2016 15:56

You could wear it, and look very chic and timeless, whilst everyone asks if you're ok and if you need to sit down and have a glass of water. A good shade if you're trying to pull a sicky in fact.

Thank you. I think that you are all right that I will look sick in that colour Grin (and not as in yoof speak).

I remember taking a scarf that belonged to my late DM after she died. It was camel and unfortunately ended up only being worn once or twice before going off to the charity shop. There was obviously a good reason for it!

So, I am not going to achieve the sophisticated Italian casual look with my camel coat. Never mind, at least as a Deep Winter I can still get away with black (that's far more important in my humble opinion) and will avoid the inevitable Del Boy / football manager look Smile

Wow, this must be the first time the S&B board has ^saved^ me money!

Try taupe instead of camel.

FurryLittleTwerp · 03/11/2016 17:43

I have a lovely long camel coat with a fur collar & it does nothing for me now my hair is grey, rather than dyed reddish-brown. I'm a Winter - it will have to go!

I have a camel coat from Boden. I am a winter. It probably isn't the best colour but it doesn't look that bad. I have sallowish skin and dark hair. I wear it with a scarf.

She looks fine:

But how much better would she look if the coat was navy and the top was white?

rightknockered · 03/11/2016 18:36

I think I'm a winter. I wear camel coats, but usually with other colours. They seem to suit me better as I get older

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 03/11/2016 19:03

She'd look better if she gave her grandad back his trousers too Smile

This explains my love of navy as an alternative to black. I'm a winter and have a cobalt blue winter coat.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/11/2016 19:24

Yes i agree. She would look better in navy but so what? She looks fine in camel. Its not like she looks dreadful.
I agree about the trousers.
