... it was knackering Grin

Truly. I was exhausted at the end! It was at JL & started with a naice coffee & chatting whilst looking at some massive mood boards. I then had a colour consult & I thought it was super thorough & it was fun as well.

Then they went through body measurements but with a ribbon not a tape measure. It was about body proportions which was really interesting. Then we discussed clothing styles etc & necklines.

Then for over 2 hrs I tried clothes on! It was fun and tiring. I won't be totally getting rid of my current wardrobe (haven't got too many disasters thankfully), but as stuff wears out i now know what to replace it with & I also did a massive Marie Kondo cull this year.

I was there 4 hours Shock & would recommend!

Have just been thinking about getting this done (see my thread this evening for reasons why!). Did you go with House of Colour or was it John Lewis in store? Can I ask how much it cost?

AgathaMystery · 01/11/2016 23:09

It was JL in store £125, no pressure to buy at all. It is free if you use the personal shoppers & spend £500+

TBH I could have spent thousands. I loved everything.

Great, thanks. Really tempted

So are you left knowing what colours and styles to look for in future? Was it a 'diagnosis' as such, that you can take with you anywhere?

Yes! I got very clear advice on colours and once we got going it was easy to see what looked ghastly and what looked good. You get a little booklet of colour swatches (printed) as a guide (not as a 'you must
Only wear this') & also a full style profile about shapes/proportions and necklines and trousers and what dress shapes to aim for etc. Really handy.

I will absolutely be ringing them in future to ask for an apt with them to shop for more bits.
