Quick fix for Broken nail

I read on here before about a quick fix for a half broken nail but I forget the advice. Sorry. So badly broken I see a speck of blood underneath the nail. The break is half way across iykwim. The other half is intact.

A tiny piece paper off a tea bag and some nail glue is often advised.

TBH I haven't found anything works other than cutting the nail short until it grows out.

Tea bags - that's the remedy I couldn't remember
Too far down to cut!!!
