I'm getting a black leather pandora bracelet for Christmas and want some charm inspiration. I like sparkles. Post photos of your black leather bracelets!!

I have a leather one and it's quite full, not stretched or misshaped so no idea what other mean.

SuperFlyHigh · 29/10/2016 09:03

You really think everyone in RL has one?!

None of my friends or family have one.

I know an ex work colleague who I think may have been bought one but then she thought the Links Sweetie bracelet was tacky so probably not.

Out of a poll of mums on my street none have them!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/10/2016 09:06

You really think everyone in RL has one?!

I said MY friends in RL,obviously not every woman on the planet has one.

ShelaghTurner · 29/10/2016 09:12

I don't have a leather one but have been looking. I just have the common as muck, crap, uninspired, cheap looking, mass produced silver one. Apparently. Luckily I love it and couldn't give a toss what anyone in RL thinks (although I suspect they don't think anything at all, like I don't concern myself with their choices) and I'm also not rude enough to come on a thread where someone is wanting to buy one and slate their choices. Condescending fuckers. And yes, feel free to take that personally if it applies. Angry

I'm not going to buy one -my mum bought me one this week for Christmas. We had a lovely time choosing together and fortunately I don't buy things coz other people like them!

Bibs2014 · 29/10/2016 09:22

Most people in RL I know have one as I do Smile

Bibs2014 · 29/10/2016 09:22

That should read as do I!

dottyaboutstripes · 29/10/2016 09:26

I LOVE mine! They do advise only wearing a couple of charms because the leather can stretch and I'd agree dangly ones can be a pita.

SuperFlyHigh · 29/10/2016 09:30

Shelagh I didn't say it was as common as muck but I just don't know anyone IRL who has one.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/10/2016 09:40

Super No, you heavily insinuated that your 'friend' thought they were tacky though.

Legogo · 29/10/2016 09:42

I don't know anyone who has one either.

I've just looked on their website...the prices of them for what they are ShockConfused

Middleoftheroad · 29/10/2016 09:48

I don't have one in RL or Uggs or a designer bag.

ShelaghTurner · 29/10/2016 09:57

Sorry, bit of a rant there. Blush It's just that jewellery is such a personal thing - you can criticise someone's shoes and it's no big deal. They might be mass produced etc but the charms generally signify different things to different people. Certainly each of my charms represents a part of my life to me. So sorry, I do get the red mist when they're slagged off. I shouldn't open these threads Blush

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/10/2016 10:01

I completely agreed with your post shelagh

I'd like to know the cheaper places you can get similar as I'm all for a cheaper option but all the makes seem pretty much the same as far as I can see.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/10/2016 10:03

I bought similar from NOTHS and it had broken within a couple of months and it was more expensive than Pandora. It was replaced as I complained but it broke again...

VintagePerfumista · 29/10/2016 10:04

I think you are better off with the cheaper versions when it's a leather one.

I love the snobbery on MN about certain things. Bet these are the same people who think they look good in a maxi dress. Wink

(agree with Shelagh too) (Try ebay, etsy or Amazon for cheapy versions. )

bunnybleu · 29/10/2016 10:07

I have two, the 'normal' one and the bangle. I wanted a charm bracelet but decided the traditional sort would get on my nerves because they're so dangly and the pandora ones are more practical to wear. Like a pp I like that the charms represent something and the children can pick one they know I'd like. I don't wear one every day though, but I like that each time I wear one I can change the combination and colours of the charms.

BuggersMuddle · 29/10/2016 10:13

Meh. I have a silver one. It was a gift.

No, it's not a unique natural pearl necklace but it's just an accessory fgs. Mine is focussed on a particular colour.

But then I do have Uggs (cosy) and I do think I looked good in a maxi dress (when they were in fashion) so what the hell do I know.

littlem133 · 29/10/2016 10:18

As long as you're happy and confident in what you have -ignore the judgmental

weekendninja · 29/10/2016 10:35

I have the black leather triple one. I don't wear it in the shower because if the water but after 3 or so years it's held up well with 12 charms on it.

I can't seem to carry off delicate jewellery do the leather Pandora suits me fine.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/10/2016 10:38

Wrt the earlier comment about their value - second hand jewellery is cheap as chips, it's not something that holds it's value usually for investment purposes.

hollieberrie · 29/10/2016 10:45

This is mine. I love it. I also love Costa Coffee and Superdry. Grin
