How much would you spend on a decent pair of leather boots?

Just that really. What's the most you would spend on a decent pair of real leather, long winter boots. Something quite traditional in style so likely to last a few years.

£200

Oly5 · 26/10/2016 21:42

£200 agreed. Wouldn't spend more in case I went off them

GinAndShoes · 26/10/2016 23:09

£300. My Dubarrys have been a solid investment, I've owned them 8 years now. Just about to replace them as mine have now retired to be DMum's dog walking boots.

JoJoSM2 · 26/10/2016 23:22

Boots are obscenely expensive... I'd probably spend up to 300 for premium ones in the sales.

PollysPoppy · 27/10/2016 09:27

I've spent, I think, around £300 on LK Bennett long black boots. I have very skinny calves and they fitted me which was a miracle. Have had them two winter seasons and they're like new - definitely a good buy.

Disappointednomore · 27/10/2016 09:28

£200

It depends, five years ago I bought a pair of boots by Tamaris. They are fur lined, waterproof and very comfy. They cost £99 and are still going strong. I think if I had to replace them now I would be spending up to £200 although I've got my eye on a pair of DM's which are around £130.

maggiethemagpie · 27/10/2016 10:09

No more than £100, but probably would get something on sale, so around £150-£200 full price.

I likes a bargain, me. Amazon is great for this, all my boots are half price from there.

SuperFlyHigh · 27/10/2016 10:17

£300

DropZoneOne · 27/10/2016 10:21

My Duo boots were £150 nearly 10 years ago. I don't wear them loads but they've still plenty of wear. I'd spend up to £200 to replace them.

Pisssssedofff · 27/10/2016 10:23

Just ordered these with 15% off so £144, lots of leather for the money given they are over the knee. Hope they keep me warm

Up to £150 but that would be with a discount or sale of some sort.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/10/2016 17:47

Probably about £150.00

SillySongsWithLarry · 27/10/2016 18:04

I buy Dr Martens so £80-120 a pair. I have 4 pairs on rotation and am eyeing up another pair.

NameChanger22 · 27/10/2016 18:09

The most I've ever spent is £115. Now, the most I would spend is £40 in TK Maxx, but I'm more likely to spend under £20 on Ebay.

Rhythmsticks · 27/10/2016 18:12

About £200 normally.

DerelictMyBalls · 27/10/2016 18:20

Between 200 and 250 pounds

ILikeyourHairyHands · 27/10/2016 18:53

Dependant on budget surely? I've got 6 pairs that cost between 250 and 800, best winter ones are a pair or Toast ones that cost about 350 and a pair of Sorel snow boots that cost about 150.

Depends what style you're after, how long you want them to last and what you need them for.

SpeckledyBanana · 27/10/2016 18:55

The most I've ever paid is £100, but both pairs are now c.8 years old (I keep getting the soles and heels done) so now, maybe £150.
