calf length boots?

In all honesty, would I need matchstick slender legs to be able to wear them without looking ridiculous?

I don't think so, no.

I think slightly slouchy, casual styles are more forgiving (and just generally look better) than slimmer/straighter calf boot styles, though.

That's what I'm thinking of nip, some slightly slouchy biker style boots (if they're even a thing?).

I think calf boots are tricky. They cut you off at the widest part of your lower leg and do make em look a bit on the bulky side. I love them but generally avoid them, and if you do manage to find a pair of proper slouchy biker or pirate boots, let me know, I've been searching for ages. And then of course I bought these www.jigsaw-online.com/product/georgia-shearling-outdoor-boot/J29820_BK000 and despite being snug, somehow work a treat.
No, of course I don't follow my own advice, pfft!

I like those phoolani. What do you wear them with? I don't wear leather at all so it's proving difficult to find anything like the ones I have in my head.

these are the most comfy boots I have ever owned and just bought another pair as killed my 2yr old pair! Apparently pikolinos do similar boots tear in year out so I'm very happy Smile

They're nice too summer but not for me as they're leather.

I think it's rocket dog in Schuh that don't do any leather (if not them, definitely another brand in Schuh) - try them, they usually have really nice styles but I never buy them because I always want leather for mine!

Yes, I have a few pairs of rocket dog boots as I like the styles. I've found a pair I like in office but I don't think we have a store anywhere nearby to try them on so I'll have to order online and hope I don't just look like a blob.

Weirdly, I wear them with loads: turned up jeans and trousers and skirts and they really do look very nice and my calves look not at all chunked up. I'm still trying to figure it out.

Those are the ones I'd seen on the office website phoolani but they don't have my size. They have them on other websites but the sale price was appealing (and I've bought 4 other pairs of boots already this autumn Blush). The only thing I was unsure about was the fluffy lining - would they look daft?

Ridiculous? Can't see why. You're asking the wrong person, tho - I loves me a fluffy lining!
