Leather Trousers

Posted this on another thread but no reply, possibly cause this is more suited.

What's the opinions on women over 45 who wear leather trousers? Should they wear them and if so what would go with them to avoid looking like my username (albeit I always thought she looked great in leather)

I'd love to hear from women of 45-60 who wear leather trousers and from the younger women who see it through their eyes. Obviously leather trousers look amazing on younger women but seeing Heidi Klum, Elle MacPherson, Anthea Turner etc still wearing them means they must be acceptable on the more mature lady??

I'm 60, and have had mine since DS was 2... They went away for a few years but I've worn them the last couple of years since they looked right again. DS is now 17, so cost per wear has been great. They are very plain black leather, close but not-quite-skinny fit, and I think they look great, not at all unsuitable, though I would choose anything overtly sexy to wear on my top half.

...would NOT choose anything overtly sexy for top half Blush

Thanks for your feedback. I'm just wary of looking a bit mutton but like you say, if I wear a nice top to go with it and not have a tucked in blouse I guess it can look quite stylish :)
