High street shape wear

I'm after some shape wear that's not too uncomfortable that includes shorts to stop chafing Blush

I am going to a wedding and have just realised I want bare legs (tights wouldn't look right with the shoes) but my fat thighs will rub!

If al else fails I'll just use lanacane, but I was wondering if there is anywhere on the high street I could get some decent "hold it all in and stops chafing" shape wear? Ideally not too expensive either as I am low on funds until payday!

Can anyone help?

I got mine from Debenhams. They've got quite a big range with different styles for different outfits. Not too expensive.

Second Debenhams.
I've tried primark's shorts ...... would have had less chafing wearing nothing at all Grin

Thank you!!
I can get to a tk Maxx/Matalan/asda/next tomorrow or sainsburys/debenhams so may have to go to sainsburys/debenhams - any idea on sizing?
Appreciate the recommendations.

Go up a size in Sainsbury's. I'm usually a 12 in there, but I went for a large. You want firm but not tight. I can comfortably wear my Sainsbury's stuff all day and evening at weddings etc and not feel uncomfortable after a meal etc, but get great shape and no rub.

You also don't want to get hot and sweaty trying to pull it back on in the loos! Ignore the size on the hanger and go for something that feels controlling but comfortable ime! If it means a 16 or 18 instead of a 12, no one will ever know.
