...has anyone tried it?

Ooooh, not seen this. Interested to see how it performs.

SheStoodInTheStorm · 23/10/2016 18:44

I've read reviews then forgot about it. Have been researching again today because I want something to help my skin that's not taking medicine!
Lots of positive reviews but always like to hear what MN has to say!

Sali Hughes had some acne prone people test the Tria Acne Clearing Blue Light with positive comments. I know light therapy has been showing a lot of promise for several skin conditions but that it's all relatively new technology.

TheOneWhoKnocks · 23/10/2016 20:02

It's amazing - cleared my acne completely for as long as I used it. Stopped for a while and the spots came back. I have been using it for 5 years, on my second one now as the first one died earlier this year. Wouldn't be without it now!

SheStoodInTheStorm · 24/10/2016 12:36

That's brilliant TheOne

How bad was your acne?

Moderate - always at least 5 or 6 spots, sometimes more. Now I normally have 1 at most, generally hormonal.

OhFuckOff · 24/10/2016 12:59

Ooh interested, mine is on my chin oxytetracycline used to work well for me with zineryt (sp?) but not so much now. I'm 31 I feel awful Sad

Pisssssedofff · 24/10/2016 13:46

5 or 6 spots isn't acne. My daughter had this, cost me thousands at a clinic, it didn't work.

Truckingalong · 23/01/2017 17:44

5 or 6 spots CAN be acne. I have 3 enormous cystic acne spots right now. They cover most of my chin. I've just bought a lumie clear and am starting using it tonight for the first time. I'm so unutterably miserable about my skin. Nothing works for me but fingers crossed for this.

thisisallnewtome8 · 23/01/2017 17:48

Ohfuckoff I used to use zineryt but have since moved over to Duac. It really works especially on spots under the skin that never seem to materialise.
Also I've been using nip and fab glycoloc pads. Both day and night extreme. It really has made a difference.

The best thing I've found for my acne (on my chin only) is lush angel on bare skin cleanser.

I've spent nearly £1000 the last couple of years trying to combat it and this is the only thing that works for me. I saw a difference in 4 days.

It's £7 odd a tub but it lasts a while.

I think my skin was reacting to the chemicals, it's balanced my oily bits and make my skin feel lovely and soft whilst also clean, the bonus is it's cleared up my acne.

Well, I'm impressed so far. Very impressed. The 'anger' in my skin has definitely calmed down a lot with the very first use of this gadget. I'm optimistic that this may give me a bit of hope. My skin is the worst it's ever been and that's really saying something. My next stop was back to the doctors again but I'm going to see how I go with this light now.
