Cos coats?

I've never bought anything from cos, as I live in the sticks so would need to order.

I am looking for a smart black coat, and saw some nice ones on the Cos site. They are quite pricey thiugh, so am looking for views on quality, styling, and fit, please!

The quality is good (far better than H&M material wise, slightly better than the pricier coats from Zara for context). I have a woollen cape that I wear quite a lot that's at least five years old, probably even older than that and it still looks great.

I would encourage you to fit it in store though if you're unfamiliar with the brand (or commit to the cost of ordering multiple sizes), Cos is notorious for fitting very differently on various shapes. I tend to size down at least one size and sometimes two. In terms of style they're very recognisable as Cos (although some of the coats are a bit more conservative) so you have to like that style.

I'm obsessed with Cos, love it. I have a wool coat I bought 2 or 3 winters ago and it still looks brand new. Very good quality and the wool never goes bobbly. I wear it all winter long and it's chic/pared-down stylish which is my style. It was very expensive but it is a classic so will never look out of date and I imagine I'll be wearing it for the next 10 years. I went into Cos years and years ago and thought everything looked very plain and boring but it's taken me time to realise it's all cut so well and it's very stylish in a simple, pared down way, if you like that of course!

Thank you.

Pared down and simple is just what I'm looking for for this coat!

And something that won't date.

Sounds like I will have to go to an actual shop though, but at least I know it should be worth a trip.

I'm wearing one now I bought 2 years ago and it still looks like new. It was about £120 and was worth every penny. They do good coats! I'd really try and try on tho if I were you.

I would also recommend you go to an actual Cos shop.
Try things on, the clothes often don't have hangar appeal but look lovely on.
But it depends on your shape

I'm 5'8 and a size 12. Quite a wide build, I'd say, shoulders wider than hips, but kind of hourglass but not big boobs (any more, a whole other story)
