Earring Backs

Not really S&B but I am hoping someone can help ?

I have seen two people recently wearing drop earrings - the type that hook rather than have post and butterfly backs - who on the back of the hook have plastic "tubes" to stop hook falling out of ear. This is just what I need but where can you buy them ?

How big are the tubes? I have seen some drop earrings that are sold with small clear plastic 'stoppers' on the ends of the hooks -- these are quite a bit smaller than either metal or plastic earrings backs, though. But if the tubes that you have seen are bigger than a couple of millimetres then they are something different. I
I would imagine that the little stoppers would work on most hooks -- and the earrings they come with are not exactly expensive, so I'd have a look in Claire's or Primark or similar.

You can pick them up in my local jewellery shop (I think for free) so I'm guessing other jewellers will be the same.

Also eBay sell them (but in bulk) search for plastic earring stoppers

I got 100 off Amazon for about £2. Took a while to arrive but very handy.

I thought they were just there to stop the earing sliding off the cardboard. I have always thrown them out with the rest of the packaging.

No,they stop the earring accidentally unhooking out of your ear.
