Need a new set of make up brushes....

I would like to treat myself to a new set of make up brushes. Can anyone recommend a set that they are impressed with. I have seen a lot of new types which are like sponges on handles - I suppose these are for base make up only. I would be interested to hear if they make application easier but also would like to buy some eye and lip brushes too?

Real Techniques for me. Lovely and soft.

Real techniques and Body Shop are my faves.

Bobby brown full coverage brush for liquid foundation, blending. Expensive but very worth it. From time to time Debenhams have 10% on beauty items.

Agree with real techniques. I did my own wedding makeup last year after a brilliant tutorial from my makeup artist friend who was unavailable on the day and she recommended them. Literally everything she recommended has been brilliant, the brushes have been used every day and are still in great condition and do a really lovely job of putting makeup on. I felt a right tit applying foundation with a brush, it felt really alien after a lifetime of doing it with my fingers but it makes such an difference, as does a lip brush for lipstick.

Another vote for Real Techniques. They wash and dry really well too and keep their shape.

Real Techniques. Their brushes are fab but so are their sponges - big orange one for foundation, little purple ones for concealer and cleaning up around eyes

Realise I may sound like a loser but I love Body Shop brushes

Zoeva, very high quality brushes for an affordable price. I like the luxe ones best. Very comparable to Mac brushes without the price tag. Lisa Eldridge has a video somewhere where she discusses her favourite brushes, a few specific Zoeva ones are worth getting from that list.

I have been a recent convert to a Beauty Blender and begrudgingly acknowledge they're hyped up for a reason, it gives a really beautiful finish bugger to clean though. It's very versatile, can do blush, concealer, powder etc. and is very quick to use.

I also got the toothbrush looking one from Primark to see what the fuss was about and while it gives a nice finish I prefer the Beauty Blender but it's nice for blush, cream products, etc. but wouldn't say it's more special than anything else.

I second Zoeva! They have really good value sets and they are very long lasting even with regular washing

Real techniques here too (Superdrug had a buy one get one half price a little while ago; asda are often cheap for them and Tkmaxx sometimes have them in)

Must agree Real Techniques are really good quality, last for ages and wash well too.

I agree real techniques are fab I prefer the Miracle complexion sponge to a beauty blender especially the price! I also love Morphe
