how to stop scar in eyebrow looking shiny

poppym12 · 19/10/2016 10:08

I have very sparse eyebrows. Never plucked them, there's just hardly anything there, especially the outer halves.
There's an old scar within my right one and I've tried pencils, powders and mascara but it still looks crap as I'm trying to fill in shiny skin.
I'm not after the big bold brow look that I see around a lot, I just want them to look less sparse and gappy but without looking like I've crayoned on shiny stuff.
Any ideas for products or tips I can try please?

I don't think you can sorry. Just draw in brows and don't worry too much about the scar would be my advice which I'm sorry I now isn't helpful.

Friend with same problem uses this one bare minerals, universal light.

Have you tried improving the scar appearance?

Dermaroller + after care cream? Silicon sheets (will be a pain if it's on your eyebrow but you could use at night or at the weekend if you are at home)? Dermatix cream? It's expensive but works v. well.

Other option is look at semi-permanent makeup tattoo on the eyebrow.

It's a really old scar and fortunately, not too big. I've noticed it more recently as I think my eyebrows are thinning even more, along with my hair Angry.
I've tried bio oil but it did nothing, apart from making it an even shinier and smoother scar.
Does the bare minerals thingy stay matt pestilence? Or does your friend use something else over/under it?

This is good - not shiny

Have you tried castor oil to thicken your eyebrows? Mine were over threaded by an enthusiastic beautician and I've used it to boost my regrowth!

poppym12 · 19/10/2016 16:41

I don't think I can thicken them abbs. our family seems to inherit sparse brows, no new hairs will grow within the scar and the extra thinning due to age is irreversible.

I'll try to find some videos on the application of that cardoon, thanks. (The brows in the video on the link are way too drawn on for me).

Ah, yes, way too heavy, a light hand will do the trick
