I've just bought an epilator. Can anyone recommend some soothing lotion to reduce the red bumps? I look like a plucked chicken....

I just used to use a regular moisturiser.
Once you've done it a few times the red bumps disappear after a few hours.

Tend skin I think is the one people say helps

And make sure you use exfoliating gloves daily to help prevent ingrown hairs.

I use an AHA/BHA toner (officially for the face, something like Nip+Fab pads would work too) but I'm highly susceptible to ingrown hairs (even more so w. epilating or waxing) but that calms it down quickly and exfoliates in one.

It is true, as mentioned by pp, that the more you do it the less time it takes for the bumps to disappear.

I've been using mine for about 6 mths and I'm still finding I look patchy/spotty the following day. I thought it was like waxing and you're not supposed to use any products straight away due to risk of infection? Would be pleased to hear moisturising is allowed!
