Silky type going out tops

I have a serious lack of 'going out' tops in my wardrobe. Everyone I know has lovely silky (and other material) type going out tops but I only seem to have t-shirts/jumpers or smart dresses. I really want some nice tops to wear with jeans but have no idea where to get them or what to wear over the top of them - please help and link to lovely tops that will fit my brief! I am 5'7 size 10, nearly 40 and fair. Thank you

They have a few silky tshirts in H&m. They are about 15 quid and are a lose v neck shape. I've seen Ivory, dark green and navy and pink I think. If I'm honest I think the paler colours look a bit cheap/flimsy but have my eye on the navy.

agree about H and M ones
Also Mint velvet satin slouch one if you want short sleeves
I like a soft jacket over them - Uniqlo jersey or i have a few from zara - thicker with zip detail #snurk

Can't do links on my phone but look in blouses rather than tops on H&m. The one I'm thinking of is there (burgundy rather than green) but the other colours I mentioned. It's quite a loose fit I found.

Also there is another kind the row below which comes in black white and red (and grey if you are 6 only)

Thanks will look

Jigsaw have quite a few silk tops. I really like this one.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/10/2016 14:08

That is a gorgeous silk top.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/10/2016 14:08

Some pretty silk pieces on the Madewell site if you type 'silk' into the search engine. I love this www.madewell.com/ie/p/madewell_category/allproducts/silk-premiere-bowback-tee-in-ascot-tile/f5652?isFromSearch=true&color_name=border-geometric-brick&N=0&Nloc=en&Ntrm=Silk&Npge=1&Nrpp=60&Nsrt=0 but maybe it's slightly summery?

&Other stories do silk shirts, lovely colours but no idea of fit or quality. Massimo Dutti worth a look too - a bit plain but a silk camisole is about 40 quid, much cheaper than Boden or Hush.

HalfStar · 18/10/2016 16:38

As to what to wear over them - blazer, bomber, leather jacket?

HalfStar · 18/10/2016 16:39

The jigsaw top is very beautiful Envy

River island is good for going out tops
