Ooh how exciting! I'd love a nose job but too scared

SmeagolsRing · 21/10/2016 13:00

Which surgeon did you go with OP?

Glad to hear you're doing well - if you wet a cotton bud with hot water and dab it slightly on the dried blood, it might help loosen it Flowers

Dontyouknow2016 · 21/10/2016 16:46

How long till you can breathe again? That would put me off.

Sovain · 21/10/2016 17:25

No stitches that I am aware of. It was a closed rhinoplasty so done from inside my upper lip Shock

Smeagols I don't want to name the surgeon on here. I can pm you of you like?

I can breathe almost normally now. Was impossible the first night due to the packing. Is much clearer now, I've woken myself up snoring so I guess I am still struggling but it's getting easier all the time.

I am getting cabin fever now though.

Might go for a walk with DH when it gets dark Grin

Wow, really great that there's no visible stitches and it was all done from the inside. Hopefully that will make healing/recovery much quicker and easier. Glad you're less congested now too. You're doing really well :) Hope you enjoy your under cover walk :)

JanetStWalker · 21/10/2016 17:53

A bit of diluted hydrogen peroxide on a cotton bud is the best thing to gently remove crustaceans.

Sounds like you're recovering really well Flowers

CointreauVersial · 21/10/2016 23:15

Ooh, well done, OP! I had a nose job at age 22, and it was the best thing I ever did.

Just be prepared for swelling when you take the beak off - it will take a few weeks to go down completely. But it sounds like you are recovering well.

JanetStWalker · 23/10/2016 15:26

Yeah the swelling, particularly in the tip can linger for months and months, only noticeable to you though.

ChickenVindaloo · 24/10/2016 19:57

Ooh, well done OP! Doesn't sound too painful either.

Sovain · 24/10/2016 20:16

I will post some pics.

My face is very swollen though - and after cast removal the nose is likely to swell also.

So give me a few days and I'll get some together.

However - it's looking good!

dailymaillazyjournos · 24/10/2016 20:45

Really glad it's looking good. The swelling might take a while to go down and your nose will also be swollen as you say. So your look will keep changing as the months pass. Its like work in progress :)

Very excited for you.

rubystiles · 25/10/2016 10:54

I had my nose done 4 months ago - the best thing I've ever done. No pain, bruising and swelling was quite bad but liveable!
The worst bit for me was the congested feeling! Wetting cotton bud tips helped!
My nose is settling still and the tip is still swollen - but really not noticeable - I'm so much more confident in front of the camera now and not obsessing about my side profile!
I was so scared about having it done but honestly it's not bad at all!

Ditsyprint40 · 25/10/2016 11:02

I really want this done as self conscious, but don't want to draw more attention to myself by having it done. How long are you (essentially) hidden away for?

Your nose was not that bad before but it does look far better now iykwim. Are you happy with it?

Tryanythingonce16 · 29/10/2016 17:20

I think it makes you look quit different!

Tryanythingonce16 · 29/10/2016 17:20

Quite sorry

neveradullmoment99 · 29/10/2016 17:20

My brother had a nose job many years ago. He had a moon shaped nose. He said it stopped him doing things and impacted on his confidence. He never looked back. I see pictures of his nose the way it was and he looks so much better now. He got it done on the NHS.

That's a really really good result, looks much 'prettier' for want of a better word but still natural.

It looks great! I hope you don't mind me asking, but roughly how much did it cost you? The prices I've seen online vary so much.
