Clarks kids sizes

Are they different to other shoes?

Had both my DC measured at the weeekend and there were a tiny bit smaller than I was expecting. The shop assistant kept saying "well this is the Clarks size" which made me wonder.

My eldest measured a 12.5 in the summer. Clarks gave a 12 which have plenty of room for growth.

I find this is true for adult shoes, they are more roomy, but it also helps that they do half sizes and even widths in some adult shoes - I have wide feet and if the shoes are wide enough can wear a slightly smaller size.
So maybe that's it.

I had the same issue this weekend. Clarks measured an 8 for school shoes, but half an hour later when getting my DD trainers we ended up getting a 7.5!
