Hush sizing advice

usernumber007 · 16/10/2016 15:25

I don't have a tape measure and want to order a few things from hush. I'm a 14 top and 16 bottom, do you reckon large or extra large? In particular I'm looking at the ruched skirt and Tara dress. Also thought, seeing as there are a few Hush fans on Mumsnet it might be handy to have a size guide so how about listing your normal dress size and whether you buy xs, s, m, l or xl?

I'm a 10 top and 10/12 bottom and I have the Tara dress in Black and Burgundy in Medium. The top is quite loose fitting but the skirt part is just fitting so I would suggest going for the XL as you don't want the bottom to be too tight IYKWIM

I can't help with your specific query but I think they then to either true to size or on the larger size if anything.

I'm a 6 top and 8 bottom and buy XS, which fits lovely, never gaping etc.

Good luck. Smile

I am a 10/12 and for the ruched skirt i have it in a medium. I had it in a small and it did fit but it was quite tight and would ride up. As for the tara dress, i have it in a medium and it is also fine. It is loose on the top and neater, like the ruched skirt, on the bottom.

I'm a standard 8/10 and I have the Tara dress in a small, also Sloppy Joe sweat, jumpers, vest tops.
The only thing I have in a different size is the Tina dress in extra small as the skirt slips otherwise and the top of the dress seemed very similar in xs and s.

Nearlyadoctor · 16/10/2016 16:53

I lie - harem pants are extra small!

DocMcFanjo · 16/10/2016 17:02

Excellent timing OP.

I wonder how many Tara dresses they're going to sell as a result of the "MN Swears By" article? Grin

taggies · 16/10/2016 19:13

I'm exactly the same size, OP. The large ruched skirt fits me perfectly.

usernumber007 · 16/10/2016 19:14

Ooo doc I must get my order in quick then

So I reckon it's kind of
6/8 - xs
8/10 - s
12/14 m
14/16 l
And 16/18 xl

Obviously correct me if I'm wrong here

can the tara dress be pulled down to knee length if youre short ( 5ft 4)

Silverstreaks · 16/10/2016 22:09

I'm generally a tall 14 and have the green Tara xl. I have solid legs and didn't want the skirt riding up.
It's a lovely dress. Pity burgundy and black don't suit me as I'd buy another colour.

SpeckledyBanana · 16/10/2016 22:12

I have the Tara in XL. I am a 16/18 at the moment and it fits well.

Nearlyadoctor · 17/10/2016 11:01

Yes nod I'm 5'4 and can pull it down to my knees!
