Red or Dead shoes, what's the sizing like?

I'm a 7 or 7.5 depending on the shoes or boots I buy. Some brands say their 7s are size 40 and their 7.5 is a 41 but I have seen other brands call 7 a 41.
Anyway, I have seen a couple of Red or Dead styles, one in the sale (have some Bday money to spend) and they don't do half sizes. I am thinking of sending for the 7s as the size chart calls this a 41. I have read, however, that this brand can be on the smaller side. So do I need the 8?
Can anyone give me their experience? I am looking at the Rosie brogues and some crazy patent leather Tessa Janes. Ta.

I've had a couple of pairs and they've been small, normally a 5 and had to take a 6 in red or dead.

Im with Lulu - they come up small so go for the next size up

Thanks, have ordered the 8s for the brogues. The crazy ones in the sale only had a 7 so I've ordered those just in case...free returnsSmile

I would've said they were generous! I've got a pair of heels size 4 when I'm a size 5.

However, these shoes are probably ten years old so there's a possibility I'm out of date!

I've got a pair of their "Exam" boots in a 7 and I think they are really ever so slightly too small. I've nearly taken them to the second-hand agency several times and then given them one more chance, as they're OK for work (only a 10 minute walk away each way) or for wearing in town if I catch the bus both ways, but I don't think I could comfortably walk into town in them. I think I'll continue trying to stretch them as the're lovely and were quite expensive but I kind of wish I'd gone for an 8 now...

The 7s are too small: as the poster above says, I can wear them but walking woukd be tricky. The 8s would be fine but they are damaged. So both pairs going back.
I popped to the actual shop yesterday and they didn't have the sale pair in stock (surprisingly). Decided the others haven't enough sole so have ended up with none. Liked the sale ones...
