Found brilliant boots but need lower heel

Having a little mooch around Sainsburys, I was really surprised to find a brilliant pair of ankle boots.

They are just what I am looking for but I need the heel to be just a little lower if they're going to be my perfect everyday boots.

Can anyone help me find some - leather, this sort of colour, up to about £45, just with a lower heel.

Anyone?

They are lovely!
But like you, I'd like a lower heel. Hope someone comes along with the answer for us Smile

I know. I was really surprised to spot them.

I'm tempted to just go back and get them (they're sold out in my size online) but I know they wouldn't be nearly as useful as slightly flatter ones.

How much lower do you need? Might be worth talking to a proper cobbler to see whether it could be trimmed down. Large amounts will alter the balance of the shoe but small degrees may well be possible.

Pantsalive · 16/10/2016 11:07

I did wonder about that as they are great in every other way.

Even just 1cm would be better but ideally a couple.

We have lots of hills and cobbles.

I don't have a link but I'm sure I've seen some lower but similar to this in Next.

bruffin · 16/10/2016 11:18

You wont be able to have them shortened, the shoe is built for that height with the shank in that angle. They would feel really odd.(my dad was a she maker)

Pantsalive · 16/10/2016 16:17

I'll have a look at Next.

Thanks Bruffin. I did wonder if I might look as if I'm permanently going up hill Smile

I saw a pair in Primark the other day which were remarkably similar, but with a smaller heel.

Pantsalive · 16/10/2016 21:49

Primark is a bit of a trip but might be worth it if they are similar.
Next has almost too many to look through. I'll have another try when I'm on a bigger screen.
Thanks all.

I have gone back and bought them. Going to try them at home and I'll take them back if they're not right.
Sadly im pretty damn sure they're too high. I just want to convince myself they're not

Boden, but they're considerably more epensive

EmmaWoodlouse · 19/10/2016 17:37

Primark probably won't be leather.
