I have the quintessential warm padded coat, skinnies are a staple for me and I have several bombers and bikers. So other than this, what else?

I'm thinking:

D'orsay flats
Dropped shoulder wool car coat (in pink or baby blue?)

That's it, I'm out.....inspire me, oh wise S&Bers.

TIA

I'm don't know about d'orsay flats, I'm not sure how practical they would be. Would your feet not get a bit soggy and cold? I do like them though, maybe more for summer though?

RonSwansonsBestFriend · 15/10/2016 20:23

I was thinking with tights, or 7/8 trousers not that I've bought 15 pairs and none of them look right in me

Another on the cheaper side here, but mine are:

ASOS leopard print faux fur - two or three years old
Whistles teddy faux fur - last year
Dune Black Chelsea boots
High waisted All Saints black skinnies
Warehouse grey leopard print crew neck jumper
Hush black ruched skirt
Warehouse black suede a-line skirt
Black suede Adidas Gazelles with slight sparkle
&Other Stories tartan jumper
Zara men's huge tartan blanket scarf - a few years old

Also some new biker boots from Clarks which I suspect will be very useful when it starts to get frosty.

Buttwing · 15/10/2016 20:33

Ron would the tights not get wet at the sides? Mind you I suppose you wouldn't wear them when it's wet. I feel the cold so I like my feet firmly covered after September!
I did my list a bit wrongBlush that's what I would like to buy for this season.

RonSwansonsBestFriend · 15/10/2016 20:44

Where do you get your ideas and inspiration from? The shops have too much variation and the mags and blogs all seem to be either very expensive or just not my style?

OP posts:
RonSwansonsBestFriend · 15/10/2016 20:45

And I'd only wear the flats to the office on dry days!

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/10/2016 20:59

You could maybe keep the flats at work, and wear boots/trainers to travel.

RonSwansonsBestFriend · 15/10/2016 21:00

I drive and totter walk 3 seconds to office!

I didn't it hard to mix colors, though I've seen a gorgeous, fleece-lined, burgundy bomber in TopShop.

Link please! In return, I'm lusting over the new gold converses. Not too Honey-Gesque Grin

FlyHighLittleBee · 15/10/2016 21:12

Sorry, just saw that was a different poster re gold trainers. But please please please provide a link SmileSmile

AmberNectarine · 15/10/2016 23:53

buttwing I'm afraid they are the reebok classics!

Great thread
I have
faux leather jeans
chunky jumpers
suede mini
denim/cord pinafore
metallic trainers (my are Ash Virgins)
leather biker/bomber

I want
another chunky jumper/dress
OTK boots (flat or block heels)
midi pleated skirt - if I can find one that doesn't make my hips look massive
wide trousers
block heels

ooh that seems to be 11. Has anyone seen nice OTK boots on the high street? I love Amber's Lowlands but can't afford them. Also am coveting some snakeskin ankle boots now or maybe the Office Lucky Charms.

RonSwansonsBestFriend · 16/10/2016 08:26

I have this problem with pleated and midi skirts, I think the more straight-cut, the better.

Buttwing · 16/10/2016 10:27

Amber that's good!! I love them, sod dp! He's been wearing Adidas gazelles so long they've come back in fashionGrin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/10/2016 12:50

I love pleated skirts. Looking for a deep red one but no joy so far.

CaroleService · 17/10/2016 11:12

Topshop has a red one, but quite a scarlet red, not burgundy

JohnCheese · 17/10/2016 12:00

Burgundy skirt for Remus but only if you're a UK14. I really like this and am stalking the site for it. Bit expensive. Like it tho. I'd shell out for it were the flipping thing in stock.

MumboNumber5 · 17/10/2016 18:22

blue pleather biker jacket
hip length sheepskin gilet
leopard cross body bag
sunglasses - love october
skinnies, obvs
black leather chelsea boots
sparkly ash trainers
big tartan scarf
That's 8 - so will add in 2 merino or cashmere jumpers

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/10/2016 18:34

Thanks, both - I want a fabric one though, not a faux leather or leather one - want one that swishes when I walk!

botemp · 17/10/2016 18:44

Remus, don't know if this one is deep red enough or the right type of model (you were the one wondering about the pleated Cos kilt one, right?) but it's certainly swishy and fabric. Find it here

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/10/2016 19:04

Like that a lot, Botemp, although I probably need a fixed waistband, rather than elasticated. Will investigate.

AmberNectarine · 17/10/2016 21:08

I've just ordered a dark red snake print one from new look remus - not sure if that's your thing though?

BrillianaHarvey · 17/10/2016 22:57

If you wear a pleated skirt, and you have norks and a short waist, is it possible to find a top that doesn't make you look like a barrel?

Statelychangers · 17/10/2016 23:13

Cropped wide legged jeans/trousers
Brogue style Chelsea boots
Midi block heel patent boots
Blundstone boots
Stripey socks
Mustard woven wool coat
Sparkle knit/fitted merino knits
Long cardigan
Thin silk scarf
White button up shirts.
