Where Have all the buttons gone? (Cardigans)

Buttons on cardigans seem to be a rarity these days. even normal-looking ones just flap about draughtily. what is the point? At least if you have buttons you can choose whether to do them up or not ...
I'm not looking for a cardigan by the way, it's just an observation. Does nobody feel the cold any more? Is there a global button shortage?

I bought 2 flappy cardies today, no buttons.
I feel the heat not the cold (ancient/hormones) and they cover my bum.

I can waft like the woman in the Scottish Widows commercial - in my dreams

Wood hill - will avoid that shop!
70 - I wish I could waft! Grin

Yes! All cardigans seem to be no buttons at the moment, it's so difficult to find buttony ones.

I want to button over my belly ffs

No buttons are cheaper than buttons.

I'm a button fan.

I hear you, OP. I am having a terrible time finding a nice cropped cardigan with buttons to go with a full-skirted dress for a wedding.

I love this Pepperberry one but they don't have my size:

I love buttons but they have to be nice ones.

Sometimes I replace boring buttons with lovely ones as soon as I've bought something!

AnotherGreenDot · 14/10/2016 18:07

Furry - me too! I have a button box at home Grin
IJustLost - of course it's cheaper for them, but if people don't buy it will be more expensive in the end

I managed to find a giant snuggly one in Zara with buttons but it was a real mission

Buttons aplenty.
