I have naturally dark blonde hair but usually have half a head of highlights to brighten it up. I noticed last time I had my hair done it was becoming one block colour and a little harsh on my pale complexion so I thought I would try something new.
I showed my hairdresser many pictures of blonde ombre and said I wanted the colour at my roots to be similar to my natural colour to make it more flattering & lower maintenance when it grows out.
A couple of hours later and I am left with 4 inch gingery blonde roots which don't match my natural hair colour and don't blend into a gradient with the previous highlights.
I was clearly really disappointed which is when my hairdresser said she had to use a warm colour else the blonde would've gone green, and that its going to be a long process to get the colour I want. I wish she had told me this beforehand
Is there anything I can do at home to tone down the ginger roots? I've tried the purple shampoo but that just seems to be making my blonde ends whiter.
