Very boring question - how do you wash your tights?

It's tights weather again! I usually hand wash mine in the sink with a few drops of laundry detergent, then hang them up over the bath, but they take ages to dry. Anyone have any handy shortcuts?

Buy a zipped laundry bag, put them in that, bung in washing machine, hang out once spun.
Or, hand wash but wring out really thoroughly, then put a thin tea towel on the radiator and lay the tights over that - soaks up any excess drips and stops your tights sticking to the rad!

I just put them in the washing machine in one of those protective lingerie bags - although I mainly wear 80/100 denier opaques so their not too delicate

Ooh, really didn't think the washing machine would be an option. I wear 80 denier + in the winter so that could work. I will be off to Wilkos to get laundry bags later. Thanks!

In a pillow case, on a cool wash.

Laundry bags for tights, bras, frillies and knitwear. Everything lasts longer.

I put them in the washing machine with everything else and cross my fingers. Seems to work!

Chuck them in the washing machine, then tumble dryer, no problem.

Anything 40 denier and above, in the 40 degree wash in laundry bags. On the rare occasions I wear 10 or 15 denier I hand wash them.

DD's go in the machine in a laundry bag (ours came from Poundland). I haven't worn tights for 20yrs😁

I shove them in with all my dark washes and radiator or airer.

Just chucked in with a normal wash here, then on a drying rack attached to a radiator. I'm another 80/100 denier wearer, though.

Washing machine, then dry on my most treasured possession, my Dry Soon heated airer. Mine are all 60 denier and above.

Opaques go in the washing machine at normal temp (40), but they're just from M&S. I don't own a tumble dryer so they just air dry. I wash my Wolford nude tights by hand with woolite. They dry really quickly as they're so sheer, but I do squeeze them in a towel first.

I mainly wear Falke 100den and put them in the washing machine on a wool wash, don't use a lingerie bag. The bras however go in the lingerie bag as they snag everything.

Wool programme 30degrees and hang to dry. I'd only hand wash really special ones like PP's Falke (maybe not even them if I'm honest) as modern wool programmes are good enough for cashmere. Ordinary opaques are not so expensive so if I have to get a new batch once a year it's worth it not to have to hand wash. My DIL handwashes all her tights and loads of other things and I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm disgusting but I just don't get why you'd hand wash if you don't have to! Lazy bint me....

I know the thin ones won't last much more than three wears, so they get washed by hand with whatever soap is in the bathroom, squeezed and hung on a peggy octopus thingy.

I machine wash the thick ones as normal and when they're dry TIE THEM IN A SLIP KNOT ! that way they don't tangle up together in a drawer. Not very Kondo, but I have lots of similar pairs and I can gauge the thickness better than when they're folded into a square.

I machine wash too, though they do go bobbly after a while.
