Any good suggestions for makeup for the ridiculously pale? I have red hair and almost translucent skin.

Missha and many other Korean BB creams in pale shades (#13 is usually the palest option) are also available as a cushion. Re texture, nothing is perfect but I used to have zero options in foundation.

Yes I'm just really pleased to find shades that are pretty good. A few years ago you had to be a bit orange and try to lighten it up with translucent powder. Which never worked. Just 8 shades of beige. Tough if you had very pale skin or very dark skin. It's not perfect but at least there are a few brands who are catching on to the gap in the market.

I found another great alternative for pale skin - Sensai Total Finish powder compact in shade 102 (Soft Ivory). I'm travelling and forgot to pack a foundation I purchased the Sensai from a duty free - have sampled it in the past and it has suited my skin. It's is a breeze to apply and the coverage is surprisingly good. The finish is velvety matte on my dry skin - perfect for winter wear. It looks gorgeous with dark lipstick but does not dry me out. And it does not break me out!

Bobbi brown or Estee Lauder, definitely.

All Estée Lauder is way too dark unfortunately, if we're talking bases.

I think we are getting a poor pale shade range from many Western brands because they idealize a golden bronzed skintone. Japanese and Korean brands idolize pale and white skintones - that's why they can be really good with pale tones.

I'm in love with the Sensai compact foundation. It's like softly diffused candlelight for my 40+ face, feels weightless and isn't claggy. I found out about it by asking a friend what she was usung (she has marvellous, poreless translucent white-pale skin).

Oh and Estee Lauder is too dark and mask-like for me. Dior has good pale shades.

I searched for years and spent a fortune on the wrong things.. Bobbi brown do alabaster and porcelain shades, im super pale like see through and actually found I preferred the porcelain. Good quality and they do a great white powder called retouching that leaves a flawless airbrush finish.
