I would like to buy a foundation that gives a dewy finish. I have drying skin so love a bit of shine.
I would like a golden/ yellow toned colour to give me a healthy light tanned look.
Any suggestions please?

Make sure you moisturise well, otherwise your dry skin will give you patches under the foundation.

Bourjois health mix Serum is dewy, Vanilla 52 is quite a golden shade, but do match the shade to your skin, it will look odd if your foundation is a different tone to your skin.

If you want to look bronzed use bronzer on top of foundation that's the right tone for you.

I really like max factor serum foundation. I'm 41 and wear it without powder

Bobbi brown Skin foundation ticks all of your boxes I think. They have a brilliant range of yellow based foundations too. I love it, it's light but can be built up to give heavier coverage and gives a lovely dewy finish.

No7 airbrushed foundation is a serum like foundation. Gives a lovely, smooth finish.
Even better, mix a drop of jojoba oil in with your foundation , then apply.
Or put a drop of oil on your face before you apply your foundation. Bother methods give a dewy finish, and still look fresh after setting powder has been used too.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. Brilliant colour range.

You might not ever get the dewiness you want from a foundation - maybe time to get a subtle highlighter like Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector?

Thank you all.

Just get the Barry M dewy finish spray! I love it and it goes over any foundation

EnidButton · 09/10/2016 00:58

The oil is a good tip. I'm going to try that combined with primer on t-zone.

Beautifullymixed · 09/10/2016 03:21

Enid watch Wayne Goss on you tube for more info on using oil for dewiness.
It's fab for when my skin is dehydrated and flaky. I only use one drop though, and love jojoba oil for this, as it's closer to our natural sebum.

I really like the L'Oreal cushion foundation. It gives a lovely glow. Not a full coverage foundation though, more light to medium.

PollyPerky · 09/10/2016 07:49

Dior Star is nice.

EnidButton · 09/10/2016 12:02

Beautifully Thank you for the recommendation, just subscribed to his channel. Smile

Maudlinmaud · 09/10/2016 12:20

Ysl touche eclat is so lovely. Dewy and comfortable to wear, its better than the old formulation as it does not slip.
I bought dior star the other day and its also lovely, however I prefer the ysl.
Ask for a sample.

Lancôme Teint Miracle. It feels lovely and dewy. Not as heavy as the Teint Idole Ultra

hollyisalovelyname · 11/10/2016 07:34

Thanks again

I've just bought the No7 illuminator to go underneath foundation or as a highlighter on top. Only tested it out briefly last night but it seems to give a really good natural glow without any sparkles or too much pearlescence.
