I'm on the hunt for WARM mud proof boots for watching kids playing football for hours and hours....

I've resigned myself to spending my Saturday mornings for the foreseeable future standing in a muddy field while my cherubs chase after a ball. I've got a decent warm coat but my feet always end up freezing. Any recommendations? They do not have to be stylish or beautiful, merely warm and comfortable Smile

I love my yard boots by woof wear:

Im a size 5 so can get the child's version. They are so warm, comfy and waterproof!

I have sheepskin lined leather Uggs which are polishable and cleanable and warm.

I have 3 boys ranging from 24 down to 15 who all play football, rugby and hockey so have done many years of sidelines.

My best purchase was a full length down North Face coat in the sale at the end of one winter season. That summer was so bad I wore it to some of the cricket matches too!

Another vote for Le Chameau neoprene lined boots, they are really toasty

I've got some Dubarry boots I've lived in for years as a parent to two rugby boys. Also, I live in Joules Carrick boots; you can usually pick them up on Ebay quite cheaply and they last forever, are beautifully warm and don't look too hideous.

Muck boots with the neoprene lining are great, also Bogs if you want something with a pattern. Bogs do some nice kids designs. Recommended after far too many woman hours on cold wet touch lines. You need to check the soles on some styles depending on how much of a cleated sole you want.
The other essential is a coat not a jacket to keep your bum warm!
