Hats, beanies... berets?

What do you think about this as an alternative to a woolly hat or a beanie, for a mid 40s woman?

What colour are you going to go for?

Love it, but berets don't flatter me because my head is enormous (family trait, yet surprisingly we're mostly idiots and fools). Lovely colours, too, especially the burgundy.

I have some like this but they're a chunky knit beret type (in pink and in red) go for it!

I have this in grey...they do a matching scarf snood type thing too😀

I like charcoal, light grey and navy.
Can't justify three.
And red.

I've always worn berets. So elegant. I have dozens of them. I used to love Accessorize for berets but the quality has gone massively downhill in the past few years, they used to be really thick, dense soft wool, now they're sort of thatchy and sparse. :(
At least I bought loads while they were still good.
