Bendy rollers

You know those bendy foam rollers? The ones that you fold the ends over to secure the hair, and then you can sleep in them because they're soft and squishy.

Is there a way of rolling which does not include the ends, so as to add volume and waves/curls in the middle of the hair? If I roll from the ends I end up looking like a Christmas tree.

Same problem, though: how do I roll from the middle without including the ends?

Hold the roller against your root of hair on the section you are doing- so the roller is touching your head. Wind the hair round until you have half/3 quarters of your hair wrapped around the roller and the remaining still in your hand. twist the end of the roller in half so it's like squashed U shape securing it from unwinding with the ends left out.
