Help finding perfume

I really want to find a nice perfume to wear for every day. The problem is that there are few perfumes I like and I'm allergic to some! Previously I've worn Angel and Be Delicious. My favourite scent ever is probably Cool Water by Davidoff but only the male version, I can't stand the female!

I like light, fresh fragrances. I can't stand lemon based smells or anything heavy or too woody.

Can anyone suggest any scents I could try, or are there any perfume finders that work well?

Look by Vera wang is a nice fresh smelling perfume, light enough for daytime use

You can't really smell it on you (which I like), but it always gets compliments. It smells different on everyone (or so the schtick says) - my sister maintains it's a bit like Angel on me, at least...

If you look on fragrantica, you can put the perfumes you like in, and it gives you suggestions based on those.

Ooh thanks, lots of ideas to try! Aunt is the molecules perfume available in high street stores where one can test it out?

You might like philosophy amazing grace or pure grace. Those are light scents that you can use every day without it being too overpowering.

Have you tried Jo Malone? They are very natural smelling. Try before you buy, though as not all of them have great staying power. I like Pomegranate Noir and Lime Basil but they might be a bit heavy for you. The Nutmeg and Ginger is very light and fresh.

Jo Malone can be very musky; all these are light and floral jadore by dior, miss dior, chloe love story; have you heard of clean? Its a very good fresh perfume. Also when you see a department store try on perfumes or ask for samples and wear it the whole day and see how you feel about it
