Hey,

I'm 33 and have had stubborn blackheads/sebaceous filaments for years.

I've been using this stuff for a month now and practically all those little black dots have gone. Sometimes they just vanish into the night without me noticing, sometimes they come out with a wee squeeze.

There was one in particular though which wouldn't come out even when I squeezed it and it ended up scabbing over cos I picked it too much. But just there, I picked the scab off and there it was, fat, juicy and delicious, a tiny black lump just sitting prone, ready for the squeeze. And out it came. Leaving a clear pore behind. Years I've had that. Years. Goodbye.

thanks for the advice. I smoked for years! Luckily was never much for sunbathing but never wore spf except when abroad.
I have looked at the Caroline hirons website but got baffled. No chance of a private dermatologists app - how much is a consultation out of interest? Don't have active acne anymore.

Fillers aren't my thing. I think I look older than my peers - I am fat so as I am losing weight I am looking older!

I have never really worn makeup but am starting to need to. I am at that point of being cash strapped, knackered with 2 young dc and no time. Just need more hours in the day, I know others manage to look after themselves and their family. I need to move me up my priority list.

Will check out those youtube vids - thanks

No worries, Princess.

Yeah, I have no DCs so I have time to muck about on the internet learning about this stuff.

I saw Dr B in London and it was £200 for half an hour! I would imagine it would be less outside of London with someone less famous.

Yep, YouTube is your friend here for skincare.

In terms of make-up, a swirl of bronzer powder and a touch of lipstick dotted on the lips and cheeks can be enough to brighten you up! And a spritz of perfume and maybe some clear/light pink nailpolish if you get a chance.

Avon glimmersticks for eyes are also bloody amazing for foolproof eyeliner. They are soft pencils that never need sharpening.

For lipstick, practically everyone suits a dark pink/rose shade.

I'm hoping this might clear my horrid blocked pores on my nose. I'll blame MN if it doesn't work, but at least theres a good selection of sample and trial sizes

lazybutton · 04/10/2016 12:37

Quick heads up - looks like there's free delivery on the Paula's Choice uk website today.

Neatfreak38 · 02/03/2017 10:01

Looks perfect for my skin..does anyone know on the website which is the best to go for?

mowglik · 02/03/2017 11:59

I had this and it didn't do much for me...Sad tempted to give it another go!

CMOTDibbler · 02/03/2017 12:06

Seeing this thread again reminded me to post that it really did work for my skin. Its soo much less red, and the big clogged up pores on my nose are disappearing. I don't need to wear primer anymore or colour correction stuff.

The trial sets are very good value and last 3 weeks, so well worth a go

Neatfreak38 · 03/03/2017 11:23

So can you wear this under makeup? Can't see anything other than ppl applying it!

QuimReaper · 07/03/2017 11:03

So what's the difference between the liquid, the lotion and the gel?

banivani y'know there is an offer on the MN Recommends page to get it for £20?

QuimReaper · 07/03/2017 11:08

Sorry, I only just realised this is a zombie!

missmove38 · 10/03/2017 10:00

Well I got a sample and decided to buy an actual bottle. I have no idea if it works but am going to keep going with it. I have quite open pores and a few black heads so it can't make it any worse can it?! I put it on at night though as don't like the texture under my makeup & figure it's working while I sleep??!

banivani · 10/03/2017 10:30

Quim nothing wrong with the revival of a relevant zombie thread, surely. Thanks for the tip! :D

QueenoftheAndals · 10/03/2017 10:35

Quim, the lotion is if you've got dry skin that tends to break out, and the gel is if your skin is oilier. The liquid is if you prefer to use it like a toner.

banivani · 10/03/2017 10:52

Oh, missed question - yes, the lotion is meant for dry skin, and I thought it'd be better for me at the time because I felt dry. IMO it doesn't feel formulated right. Leaves an unpleasant film and felt waxy. :( Ask for samples if you want to try it.
