Work trousers

I'm just about to return to work after 12 months on maternity leave and am wondering what to do about work trousers. Does anyone still wear wide leg/ boot cut trousers or has workwear gone skinny too?! I have a lovely pair of navy wide leg trousers from Next a few years ago which I think look really smart but will they just look dated now?

I bought a pair of navy slim cut trousers in the TU 25% off sale. I'm really pleased with them but I'm not the most stylish of people!

These are the ones. Feel surprisingly nice on and come up long even in regular. I'm not keen on bootcut myself

I think wide leg fine, bootcut not fine!

I wear skinny 7/8th length or wide legs

CointreauVersial · 02/10/2016 21:35

Wide leg still OK, as long as they are not ankle-flapper short. The alternative is 7/8 length, slim or cigarette shape.

I love 7/8ths but don't know what to wear with them in the winter. Can they be worn or are they just for summer?

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 03/10/2016 01:38

Wide legs are ok so long as they're not too long. I like the 7/8 style and wear them with flat shoes and trainer type socks. I don't do heels anymore and wide legs are weird unless they fit perfectly. My legs are short so they never do!

I like the look of those sainsburys ones thanks! I also like 7/8ths but would think they might be a bit chilly in the winter?!

That's my problem with the 7/8ths as I get very chilly!!!!
