Little black dress

I have a dinner dance next week and my old little black dress has died a tumble drier death.

I need one that can do a smart restaurant or a dinner dance. It needs to be quite versatile. I won't need it for workwear it's purely my 'cocktail' dress.

I've looked at Asos but everything I've seen there looks young, hallowe'eny and a bit tarty. John Lewis was either too formal or too work wear.

I'm 5ft5 size 10. Good hips, flat bust. Where would you shop?

Thanks. Good suggestion but nothing I like there! A few options but they all had long sleeves which I think makes it look a bit day dress like.

when you get to my age you will like long sleeves, they cover up the bad bits, or some of them

Mano is often worth a look, Zara too. Maybe Warehouse and oasis as well?
