with straigteners? All i want is loose beach waves & i literally find it impossible to achieve. I've tried all the sea salt sprays, mousses etc but they dont work i just turn into a big frizz ball.

I do have a curling wand which has quite a small barrel but i'm unsure what is actually better a smaller or larger barrel? I have bobbed hair.

Someone help me please.

I would suggest doing it the old fashioned way.
I've never been able to curl my hair but have started using a dolly peg, bobby pins and SETTING LOTION. The setting lotion is the key thing I think.

So I put my hair in pins at night before bed then wake up and give it a really good brush and either play with it a little to get ringlets or give it scrunch for beach waves.

For how tos look at vintage hair curling on you tube.

I ind the trick with straighteners is to go very slowly.,
